Located on the eastern side of the Orust island in the Bohuslän archipelago, Allmags Golfklubb offers an 18-hole course set within a landscape of variable terrain and old agricultural fields. The layout, which plays to a par 70, is characterized by a mixed atmosphere of parkland and forest. The course is situated near the community of Stillingsön, approximately 60 minutes north of Gothenburg, and provides views of the surrounding natural environment where wildlife such as moose, deer, and foxes are commonly encountered. The course has a distinct history, having been originally designed by Harry Johansson as a nine-hole park course when the club was founded in 1992. The layout was expanded to its current 18-hole configuration in the early 2000s, adding holes with a blend of forest and park characteristics. Following a change in ownership in 2009, the course has undergone continuous improvements and development, resulting in the current layout that combines the original design with newer additions. Play at Allmags is defined by a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere that prioritizes the enjoyment of the game. The course is designed to be accessible, allowing players to get out on the tee relatively quickly without extensive advance booking, though mandatory booking is required. The facility caters to a wide range of golfers, featuring a covered driving range and a central clubhouse with a café and restaurant. The club also provides a dedicated area for motorhomes and caravans, offering electrical hookups and changing facilities with views over the course.
