Club de Golf de Ultzama / Ultzamako Golf Kluba

Navarra

Originally designed by Javier Arana in 1966, Ulzama lies in the Navarrese Valley of the same name, within an old oak forest. The course is an 18-hole championship layout with a par of 72 and a length of 6,241 yards. The course is located in the Ulzama Valley in the middle of an oak wood, which is one of the main difficulties of the course. The course rating is 73.1 with a slope of 135. The first nine holes are quite technical, while the last nine make up one of the best rounds in Spain. A lake makes it difficult to play at hole 4, and the green at hole 8 is not seen until close to it. Every hole is different with plenty of holes for technical players; hazards are clearly visible, and the greens are reasonably flat but the pin position can make approach shots quite tricky. The best score in official competition has been 67 strokes. The complex is equipped with first-class facilities, including a top clubhouse with fine dining and good training possibilities. The club operates its own bar and restaurant.
