Club Campestre de Monterrey A.C.

Nuevo León

Club Campestre de Monterrey is a 27-hole golf course located in Garza García, Mexico. The original 18 holes were designed by architects John Bredamus (1943-1951) and Larry Hughes (1951-1955), with construction completed by George Hoffman in 1955. Nine additional holes were added in 1997 as part of a master plan by architect William Love, bringing the total to 27 holes. The course has undergone significant renovations to maintain championship standards. A major 1993 redesign by William Love included reconstruction of six greens, tee boxes, and bunkers, with fairways upgraded from common Bermuda to Bermuda 419 grass and greens changed to Bent A-4. Additional green reconstructions followed to ensure consistency with USGA specifications. The club demonstrates environmental commitment through progressive water management practices. Since the 1980s, it has operated a wastewater treatment facility that processes reclaimed water for irrigation, entirely eliminating potable water usage for course maintenance. The facility also features a new practice putting green constructed in 2007 alongside a modern clubhouse.
