Tot Hill Farm is an 18-hole golf course designed by Mike Strantz that opened in 2000, featuring 6,614 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 72.2 with a slope rating of 135. Located in Asheboro, North Carolina, the course is situated on terrain featuring extreme elevation changes which leads to dramatic tee shots and testing approaches. Rock outcroppings frame tee boxes and greens throughout the routing, and the result is one of the most breathtaking and scenic courses in the southeast. Tot Hill Farm is one of Strantz's most extreme designs which results in a wild, fun ride. The opening hole plummets to the fairway below so dramatically that the fairway cannot be seen much from the back tee box. The signature 5th hole is a 535-yard par 5 where players face a tee shot over a gorge with a lone tree 250 yards from the tee. Tot Hill Farm is much more intimidating visually than it actually plays given the generous widths the fairways offer and large putting surfaces on the greens. The course has been rated 4.5 stars, Best Places to Play, and ranked the 7th Hardest Course in America by Golf Digest.
