The Golf Club Bormio is a nine-hole course located in the Alta Valtellina region, designed by architect Mario Verdieri of St. Moritz. The layout consists of six par-4 holes and three par-3 holes, constructed on land that respects the original terrain's natural contours. The design incorporates wide fairways and well-defended greens, utilizing water hazards that also serve as reservoirs for the automatic irrigation system. The course is characterized by non-repetitive situations intended to engage skilled players while remaining accessible to beginners. Situated in the mountains of the Sondrio province, the course is set within a landscape of pastures and meadows that slope down toward the valley. The terrain is supported by characteristic dry stone walls, creating a terraced effect that defines the visual and physical character of the holes. This setting places the club among the mountain golf courses of Italy, offering views of the surrounding alpine environment. The club organizes more than 60 competitions and events during the season, including the Score d'Oro and Score d'Argento tournaments, which are considered among the most anticipated competitions of the golfing season. Other regular events include the Campionato Sociale, the Circuito Seniores, and the Iuter Tour. The calendar also features the Challenge Alpino, a circuit established by three historical sponsors, and the Interclub Alpi Retiche, a historic challenge between clubs in the Rhaetian alpine area. A notable recent addition to the club's history is the Campionato Match Play for both men and women, which was introduced in 2025 and continued in 2026. The club also hosts the Lecco#Bormionelcuore circuit, an event with charitable significance. In addition to competitive golf, the facility offers private lessons with master Daniel Tudino and maintains an active youth program and senior club circuit.
