Penfield Golf Club is located at Salisbury, about half an hour's drive north of Adelaide's CBD. The golf course is a nine hole layout with 18 alternate tees, stretching a length of 5793 metres for members and 5287 metres for ladies off the championship tees and playing to a par of 72. The course features tree lined lush kikuyu grassed fairways, excellent bent greens and creative bunkering. The course was developed by transforming a flat, featureless, treeless, parched, sun-baked clay gibber plains through an army of volunteers and donated materials, a spirit that continues today as many people invest their time, skills and hard work to keep the golf course in excellent condition for all golfers.
