Located in Yonago, Tottori Prefecture, the Yonago Golf Course is a 18-hole, par 72 layout set on flat terrain that utilizes ponds, mounds, and undulations to create strategic variety. The front nine plays for a par 36, while the back nine also totals par 36, with the full course measuring 6,364 yards from the regular tees. The design emphasizes strategy over sheer length, with wide fairways that allow for powerful shots, though the course demands precision around its water hazards and bunkers. The front nine features a mix of accessible pars and testing challenges. The opening hole is a 465-yard par 5 dogleg left that offers a chance for a two-shot round, while the third hole presents a critical tee shot where out-of-bounds lies to the left and a water hazard guards the right. The sixth hole is a 143-yard par 3 requiring a carry over water to a three-tiered green, making it a significant scoring opportunity or hazard depending on execution. The ninth hole is a lengthy 553-yard par 5 dogleg right, where avoiding the bunker left of the green is essential. The back nine introduces more varied terrain and wind factors, particularly on the twelfth hole, a 551-yard par 5 located near the coast that is heavily influenced by sea breezes.
