Woodland Hills Golf Course was for many years a private country club that went by the name Fort Scott Country Club. The course is a public 18-hole regulation course 6,156 yards from the Blue Tees, with a par of 71. The course started as Fort Scott Country Club in 1919 with nine holes, and an additional 9 holes were added in 1997 by architect Greg Todd. The course features a combination of zoisia and Bermuda fairways with bent greens, and many mature trees affect routing and elevation changes on about half of the holes.

Woodland Hills is an 18 hole park-style course, winding through beautiful scenery, with elevation changes and some of the best views in Bourbon County. The course was named a Top 10 golf course in Kansas by Best Things Kansas, #6 in the entire state, and has also been named one of the best municipal courses in Kansas. The facilities were completely renovated as of 2016 and feature a new clubhouse with a large back patio.
