Windyke Country Club

Windyke Country Club is a family-oriented golf facility located in Memphis, Tennessee, featuring two 18-hole courses designed to serve as true tests of golf while remaining playable for golfers of all skill levels. Founded by Earl Dykema in the early 1960s on 375 acres along Winchester Road, the courses were developed with a philosophy emphasizing accessibility and inclusivity rather than exclusivity.

The facility was designed to balance challenge with playability across junior, ladies, amateur, and professional divisions. A notable feature is the par-3 course, built specifically to promote junior golf development—an innovation ahead of its time when the club was established. The courses are characterized by mature, full fairways and greens, enhanced by hundreds of trees planted by the founder that have grown into majestic monuments throughout the property.

Windyke has hosted every major junior, ladies, amateur, and professional tournament in Tennessee. The club emphasizes creating an environment of unsurpassed beauty combined with strategic course design. In 1992, the Garner family purchased the facility and has maintained the original vision of providing high-value membership and continuous course improvement while preserving the traditions established by its founder.
