Windcrest Golf Club

Windcrest Golf Club is a 9-hole public golf course located in San Antonio, Texas, approximately 10 minutes northeast of downtown, situated north of Walzem on Midcrown Drive with convenient access from I-410 and I-35. The course plays to a par 68 for 18 holes and measures 4,800 yards, featuring five par 4s, three par 3s, and one par 5. Established over 50 years ago, the layout is characterized by mature oak and cottonwood trees that line fairways and create a tight, challenging design requiring varied shot-making skills. Fast, meticulously maintained greens, green-side bunkers, and several elevated greens test players' short game abilities. Water hazards come into play on two holes. The course welcomes both walking and riding players and accommodates juniors and families through designated tees. Windcrest hosts monthly tournaments and maintains active men's and ladies' golf associations, along with Friday evening putting contests. The facility offers PGA-level golf instruction for juniors and adults through its Head Golf Professional.
