Willow Pond Golf Course

Willow Pond Golf Club, located in Rantoul, Illinois, is a well-established course with significant historical roots. Originally designed in 1963 by renowned architect E. Lawrence Packard as Chanute Air Force Base Golf Course, the facility became Willow Pond Golf Club following the base's closure in 1993. Packard, who designed 145 courses worldwide and remodeled 77 others during his career, adhered to a philosophy of "easy pars but difficult birdies," ensuring the course appeals to golfers of all skill levels.
