Widow's Walk Golf Course

Widow's Walk Golf Course opened in 1997 in Scituate, Massachusetts, as America's first "environmental demonstration course." The course has earned significant recognition, including designation as an Audubon International Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. It received Golf Digest's "Best New Golf Courses in America" award upon opening in 1998 and has been named "#1 Golf Course" on the South Shore by Community Newspaper Readers' Choice Award multiple times since 1999. The course was also recognized with a "Four Stars" rating by Golf Digest in 2004 for being among top "Courses to Play" and has won "Best of the South Shore" awards from South Shore Living Magazine in the public course category multiple times. The course features a hole viewer and scorecard available to players, and maintains an on-site restaurant called Drift In. The facility emphasizes environmental stewardship as a core aspect of its design and operations.
