Widnes Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located in Cheshire, England, just five minutes from Widnes town centre. The course features tight tree-lined fairways and fast greens, presenting a significant test of accuracy for golfers of all abilities.

The club was founded in 1923, initially opening as a 9-hole course in 1924 on Lower House Farm. Six additional holes were added in 1925, with the full 18-hole layout completed by 1929. The course underwent a significant redesign in the 1960s following land acquisition from Lancashire County Council, with the new layout officially opened in 1967.

The course is characterized by its challenging parkland setting with densely wooded fairways and demanding greens. The terrain provides a genuine test of shot-making precision. The clubhouse overlooks the 18th green and offers full catering facilities and bar services.

Widnes has maintained its status as a friendly members' club since its inception, with ladies membership established from the outset. The club purchased the freehold of its land in 1967, providing the foundation for subsequent clubhouse extensions and refurbishments.
