White Beeches Golf and Country Club is located in Haworth, New Jersey, and has 18 holes of golf. The course was built in 1918 and designed by Walter Travis, playing to a par 72 from about 6,500 yards. The club derives its name from the beech trees that once adorned the 18-hole course, which has been in operation for over a century. The club's origins date back to 1902 when it was laid out as a nine-hole course, incorporated in 1918, and the course was redesigned and completed by Walter Travis in 1920.
Originally designed by Walter Travis in 1918, the 18-hole course remains a testament to the golden age of golf course architecture in America, and represents a mature and demanding country club golf course that tests players' golf skills regardless of their level. The club has hosted U.S. Open sectional qualifiers, Met Open qualifiers and the State Open.
The course overlaps the municipalities of Oradell and Dumont in New Jersey. The facility operates as a private members' club with comprehensive amenities including a dining program, swimming pool, and tennis facilities in addition to the championship-caliber golf course.
