Whispering Pines Golf Course is an 18-hole course located in Meadville, Pennsylvania, near the shores of Conneaut Lake in northwestern Pennsylvania. Designed and built in 1965 by PGA professional Allen "Pop" Alex, the course spans 6,229 yards from the longest tees across 130 acres of rolling terrain.
The course is characterized by dramatic elevation changes, rolling hills, breath-taking views, and eastern white pines lining the fairways, creating a distinctive landscape. The design accommodates golfers of varying skill levels, presenting challenges for experienced players while remaining accessible to beginners. Whispering Pines has earned a strong regional reputation for maintaining some of the finest greens in Pennsylvania.
The course attracts golfers from a tri-state area including Pittsburgh, Erie, Buffalo, and Youngstown. Beyond golf, the facility includes a banquet room with capacity for 140 people overlooking the 18th green, a pro shop, and a bar and grill. Currently owned by the Kingzett family, the course continues to serve the regional golf community with ongoing facility improvements and enhancements.
