Westhoughton Golf Club

Westhoughton Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course established in 1929 as a 9-hole layout, extended to 18 holes in 2005. Located on farmland at Long Island near Westhoughton, the course spans just under 6,000 yards across relatively flat terrain. The front nine holes, added during the 2005 expansion, feature an open scenic design with well-maintained greens. The original back nine holes retain tighter characteristics with tree-lined fairways and equally high-quality greens. The course presents a moderate challenge that emphasizes accurate driving over length. The clubhouse, converted from the original farmhouse, offers catering and bar facilities welcoming both visitors and societies.
