Westhampton Country Club

Course Information Unclaimed

Westhampton Country Club is an 18-hole private golf course designed by Seth Raynor, with a length of 6,533 yards and a par of 70. The course is one of Raynor's earliest solo designs, dating back to 1915, and was restored by Gil Hanse in 2009. It features Raynor's trademark replica holes, including a Redan at the 7th hole and a Short at the 11th hole. The third hole is a notable punchbowl par three, one of the only punchbowl par threes in the Raynor family of courses, which was faithfully restored to its original form.

The course features massively undulating greens, many template holes and water vistas, with Raynor's routing providing plenty of interesting shots despite the relatively flat land through his use of mounds, bunkers, water features and contours. The course presents searching long iron approach shots into imaginatively contoured greens, with several long holes including a 445-yard 4th hole, and typically plays challenging especially when windy conditions prevail.

The course is ranked 24th among New York's best golf courses in the 2025-'26 rankings. Raynor used the 140 acres well in the course's design, and the eighteen holes are well linked through their common roughed-up mounding, grass-faced bunkering and old-style greens.
