Western Turnpike Golf Course

Western Turnpike Golf Course is a 27-hole championship layout located on Route 20 in Guilderland, New York, offering three distinct nine-hole courses: the Blue, White, and Red. Established in 1929, the course has served golfers of all abilities for over 95 years. The Red Course is noted as the most demanding of the three configurations, while the Blue and White courses provide varied difficulty levels.

The facility spans 200 acres of green space in the rolling landscape of the Capital Region. Beyond the golf courses, Western Turnpike provides comprehensive practice facilities including a driving range and short game area. The course is known for its outstanding greens and challenging layouts that test golfers across different skill levels.

Owned and operated by the Town of Guilderland since 2002, the facility also features The Hedge Bistro restaurant and banquet services. During winter months, the property offers cross-country skiing, extending recreational use throughout the year. The course maintains an active instruction program through the Western Turnpike Golf Academy and Junior Golf Program.
