Wentworth Golf Club has been known as the 'friendly club' since its inception in 1965 and is located about 3.5 hours from Sydney in Orange. The course was created by locals who turned a paddock into a stunning 18-hole grass green golf course, clearing trees and blasting stumps before creating a Championship course that includes 22 sand bunkers, three dams, new trees, and a small pine forest. The course features a par of 70 and measures 5,785 yards.
The course offers some of the best views while playing one of the toughest courses in Orange. The greens are considered the best in the mountains and among the top greens in NSW, featuring a variety of slopes and subtle banks that hold hidden challenges. The course was a former host of the Australian Junior Championship and NSW Amateur championships. The course is host to the prestigious Jack Newton junior golf championships, and welcomes golfers of all abilities in a scenic parkland setting.
