Wensum Valley Hotel Golf Course

The Wensum Course at Wensum Valley is an 18-hole golf course renowned for its challenging layout and natural beauty. Located in Taverham, Norwich, the course features a par structure including five par 4s, three par 3s, and four par 5s across its front and back nines. The design incorporates lush fairways, woodland areas, and strategically placed water features, including the River Wensum which comes into play on several holes.

The course presents varied terrain with rolling hills and scenic panoramic views throughout. Notable design elements include deep greenside bunkers, fairway bunkers, and water hazards that demand accuracy from players of all levels. Hole 11, a par 5 featuring the River Wensum along the right side and thick trees on the left, is the course's most challenging hole. Hole 13, the signature par 3, is completely surrounded by water and requires precise accuracy. Other distinctive holes include the downhill par 3 at Hole 10 with a lake backdrop and the water-lined par 4 at Hole 16. The course is designed to reward accurate shot-making while punishing wayward play, offering distinct challenges at each hole.
