Wendelinus-Golfpark
Course Information
Address:
Saarland
Germany
The Wendelinus-Golfpark St. Wendel is situated in the western district of St. Wendel in the Saarland region of Germany, occupying a hilly, approximately 150-hectare site characterized by ancient trees, valuable habitats, and heath-covered terrain. The course layout is designed to offer a diverse golfing experience, combining typical golf worlds from Ireland, England, Canada, and Florida on a single property. This variety is made possible by the topographical conditions, which allow for the integration of parklands, hilly areas, woodlands, links-style design, and Florida styling within the same facility. The facility comprises a 27-hole championship course and a separate 9-hole short course. The design allows players to experience distinct environments, ranging from the open links-style challenges to the more enclosed parkland and woodland holes. The short course provides an additional option for practice or quicker play, while the main 27-hole layout offers a comprehensive round that traverses the varied landscape of the park. The combination of different golfing styles on one site is a key characteristic, allowing for a unique experience that moves between different thematic environments. The course is open for play during the summer greens season, and the facility also includes a restaurant, pro shop, and an on-site hotel, Angel's – das Hotel am Golfpark, enhancing its status as a complete golf destination.
