Waterton Lakes Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course located in Waterton Park, Alberta, where the mountains meet the prairies. The course dates back to 1922 when nine holes were originally opened, expanding to a full 18 holes on Canada Day 1935. The layout was refined through the 1950s with input from renowned golf course architect Stanley Thompson.

Set in a unique natural environment, the course is home to diverse wildlife including deer, elk, moose, cougars, and bears, alongside over 1,400 flora species, many found nowhere else in Alberta. The mountainous terrain and scenic prairie landscape create a distinctive setting for play.

Operating seasonally from May through October (weather permitting), Waterton Lakes offers a full range of amenities including a restaurant, patio, lounge, lesson programs, and equipment rentals. The course features power cart rentals and accommodates both 18-hole and 9-hole rounds. With its historic heritage, scenic mountain-prairie setting, and challenging terrain shaped by Thompson's design philosophy, the course presents an engaging test of golf in an exceptional natural landscape.
