The 9-hole Warrenton course features 2910 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. The course is a semi-private facility in Eastern North Carolina that has been established since 1926. The course is bordered by state game lands with few houses to interfere with the scenery.
The terrain is varied with narrow fairways, greens that are some of the smallest encountered, and slopes that can be severe. Golfers must be on target to navigate the fairways' twists and turns created by natural obstacles such as ponds, trees, or ball lies. Although 9 holes, the operators have set up the tee boxes to give a front and back 9 with enough change to feel like an 18 hole course. The greens are kept in great condition with speeds usually read above 10.
The facility includes a pool open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The clubhouse provides members with dining facilities and a Pro-shop that was recently remodeled, but still retains an older course atmosphere.
