Vestmannaeyjavöllur is a par 70 course located on the Vestman Islands off Iceland's south coast, nestled within an extinct volcanic crater. Founded in 1938, it is Iceland's third oldest golf club. The course features 18 holes with multiple tee options, ranging from 4,640 to 5,403 meters. The back nine holes, built in 1994 on the seashore, are particularly demanding and offer spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and rugged coastline.

The course is renowned for having some of Iceland's finest greens and presents distinctive challenges including volcanic terrain, changing wind conditions on individual holes, and shots across the sea. Three holes from the original 1938 layout remain in play and are the oldest golf holes in Iceland. The dramatic landscape, with volcanic walls and coastal vistas, creates an exceptional playing experience that has earned recognition from Golf Monthly as one of Europe's best 200 courses.

Vestmannaeyjavöllur has hosted the Icelandic National Championship multiple times, including 2008, and the Scandinavian Amateur Championship in 2000. The annual Volcano Open Championship attracts international competitors. The mild winter climate allows year-round play.
