Valley of the Eagles Golf Links is a nine-hole links-style course located in Haines, Alaska, situated entirely on wetlands classified by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The course required seven and a half years of permitting before construction could begin due to its environmentally sensitive location. Featuring artificial turf greens to minimize environmental impact and avoid toxic materials, the course operates during extended summer daylight hours from 3 AM to 10 PM. The setting is distinguished by its unique Alaskan landscape with salmon and trout rearing streams integrated into the design, and frequent moose and bear activity in the area. The course experiences isostatic glacial rebound, rising approximately 0.9 inches annually relative to sea level. Due to environmental sensitivity, pesticides and herbicides are prohibited. The facility includes a driving range and pro shop, offering lessons, clinics, and summer golf camps alongside league play for both men and women.
