The University of Montana Golf Course is a nine-hole triple tee course located one mile south of the university's main campus in Missoula. Set on one of the last open spaces in the Missoula valley, the course features flat terrain with mature tree-lined fairways throughout. The landscape is characterized by open fairways interspersed with native prairie reclaimed areas, and wildlife including deer are commonly observed on the course.

The design accommodates golfers of all skill levels and ages, offering an accessible and affordable golfing experience. The course is operated by university students through Campus Recreation, providing friendly customer service. Beyond golf, the facility serves the community with additional amenities including a driving range and the Iron Griz restaurant operated by UM Dining.

During winter months when the course is not in active play, the grounds serve alternative recreational purposes including cross-country skiing, sledding, walking, and jogging. The facility operates seasonally, with operations dependent on weather conditions.
