Uji Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Uji, Kyoto, designed by Hajime Ueda. Situated on elevated ground, the course offers panoramic views of the historic city of Uji. It plays to a par of 72 with a total distance of 6,271 yards from the regular tees. The front nine measures 3,036 yards, while the back nine covers 3,235 yards. The layout is characterized by an open front nine and a strategic back nine, designed to provide an engaging experience for both beginners and low-handicap players. The longest hole on the course is the 11th, a par 5 measuring 490 yards from the regular tees. The shortest hole is the 3rd, a par 3 at 150 yards. The course features a variety of hole lengths, including multiple par 4s and par 5s, with handicap ratings distributed across the holes to balance the difficulty. Specific strategic elements are highlighted for certain holes; for example, the 1st hole, a par 5, advises players to aim left off the tee, with the second shot requiring a conservative approach to the right to avoid an out-of-bounds area at 130 yards. The facility includes a clubhouse with a restaurant serving seasonal dishes, a practice facility, locker rooms with powder booths, a bathhouse, and a shop. Access to the course is facilitated by a club bus service from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station on the JR Nara Line, with scheduled departures throughout the morning. The club hosts internal events such as the Chairman's Cup.
