Toto Chichibu Country Club, also known as Toto Chichibu Country Club, is an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course located in the Chichibu area of Saitama Prefecture, Japan. The course was designed by Shimizu Construction with supervision by Toshiichi Nakamura and opened on April 29, 1975. Spanning an area of 1,150,000 square meters, the layout is set within the natural environment of the Chichibu region, characterized by gentle hills and strategic terrain. The course is described as a serious championship layout that utilizes the rolling hills of the region to create subtle undulations in the fairways. Strategic bunkering is a key feature, designed to test the skills of golfers from beginners to advanced players. The course offers distinct yardages for different tee boxes, including "Back" and "Regular" tees, with varying grass types such as Bentgrass and Koorai. The total yardage ranges from approximately 3,000 yards on the regular Koorai tees to over 6,700 yards on the back Bentgrass tees. The front nine begins with a long 560-yard par-5 on the back tees, followed by a mix of par-4s and a short par-3. The back nine features a challenging par-5 18th hole, which measures 503 yards from the back tees. The course record is held by several professionals, including Tatsuko Ohsako, Hiroko Kobayashi, and Hiromi Kobayashi, who have all shot a 68. The facility is managed by Touto Kanko Kigyos Co., Ltd., and the clubhouse, designed and constructed by Shimizu Construction, covers an area of 2,320 square meters.
