Thornhill Golf Course

Thornhill Golf Club is located in the picturesque village of Thornhill in Mid Nithsdale, Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. Established in 1893 as a 9-hole course, it was extended to 18 holes in 1979. The course measures 6,102 yards and features a mixture of park and heathland terrain with relatively level playing conditions. It offers magnificent panoramic views comparable to courses elsewhere in Scotland and has earned the description of a "hidden gem."

The course provides a good test for golfers of all abilities while remaining accessible to mature players. Thornhill has a distinguished record in amateur competition, with several members achieving success at national level and in professional careers, notably Andrew Coltart.
