Thirlstane Golf Club

Thirlstane Golf Club is a nine-hole golf course located 18 kilometres east of Devonport on Tasmania's Central North Coast, near Port Sorell. Designed in 1980 by Australian amateur golfing great Peter Toogood, the course features flat fairways with alternate tee beds on four holes, providing variety in play. A notable signature hole is the par-3 144-metre 6th, which features a green situated between two lakes, adding visual interest and challenge to the layout.

The course is set in the lush farming district of Thirlstane, surrounded by natural bushland, creating a picturesque landscape. The course is well-maintained and described as one of Tasmania's best nine-hole layouts. While primarily a members' club, Thirlstane welcomes visitors and green fee players who observe the rules of golf and golfing etiquette. The club hosts various competitions and events throughout the year, including men's championships and foursomes days, demonstrating an active competitive calendar.
