The Vineyard at Escondido is an 18-hole golf course designed by David A. Rainville, ASGCA, that opened in 1993. The course stretches 6,531 yards with a par of 70. Located just north of beautiful Lake Hodges in North County San Diego, bordering the award-winning boutique Orfila Vineyard and Winery in the San Pasqual Valley agricultural preserve, the course offers a challenging yet scenic layout with varied conditions.

The par 70, 6,531-yard course winds through a scenic landscape of verdant wetlands, set against stunning mountain vistas, acres of untouched wildlife preserves, and flourishing grape vineyards, with water in spectacular abundance featuring five lakes spread out across the landscape, with the signature third hole being a deceivingly simple 125-yard par 3 over water. The course's scenic layout winds through acres of flourishing wetlands on the front nine and wine vineyards on the back nine.

The course rating is 70.3 with a slope rating of 125 on Bermuda grass, presenting a moderate challenge for golfers of varying skill levels. The course is recognized as a prominent public facility in the San Diego area, offering both recreational play and event hosting capabilities.
