The Quarry Golf Club is an 18-hole course featuring 7,015 yards from the longest tees with a par of 72, designed by Brian Huntley and opened in 2006. The course is a public golf facility located in Canton, Ohio. The unique target-style course is situated just minutes from downtown Canton and is built on an old quarry dating back to the 1800s, featuring natural waste areas, 100-foot-plus cliffs, streams, and deep water lakes. The course features bent grass tees, greens and fairways framed by rock outcroppings and native grasses, with several tee shots that are visually intimidating, though the landing areas are more generous than they appear.
The course carries a rating of 74.0 with a slope of 139, indicating substantial challenge and difficulty. The course demands accuracy and requires use of all clubs in a golfer's bag. Although situated on a quarry site, the course is predominantly wooded with many tree-lined fairways. The clubhouse is strategically located on the tip of a huge quarry lake, which offers dramatic views of the finishing holes. Five sets of tees enable golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the course's scenic vistas.
