The Pub Courses at Edgefield consist of two par-3 courses: the West Course with 20 holes and the East Course with 9 holes. Holes vary from 43 to 84 yards in length. The original 18-hole course was designed by Mike McMenamin and was later remodeled in 2007 by Curt Morgan. The courses are loosely based on the mythic links described in Michael Murphy's novel Golf in the Kingdom and meander throughout the Edgefield property, winding in and around thickets of blackberry bushes while offering panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge.

Holes are generally short and run up and down the hillside, some sharply, affording views of the Columbia. Both courses are equally challenging, mostly for beginners, but fun for all. Tee boxes are mats. The main hazards are encroaching blackberry bushes. The original 18-hole course was built in 1998 and redesigned in 2007.

The property was formerly the county poor farm from 1911 to 1982. The courses wind around the back and sides of the McMenamins Edgefield hotel, restaurants, brewery, and distillery.
