The Manor Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course in Farmville, Virginia, designed by Richard G. Robbins, ASGCA and opened in 2006. The course is located in a scenic country setting on a mountain, with its strength not in length but in terrain. The layout ranges from 5,367 yards from the forward tees to 7,214 yards on the championship tees for a par of 72. Blind approach shots occur on six holes, making it a true test for first-time players; mature tree lines come into play on most holes and require keeping the ball in play, while historic small, undulating greens demand a sharp short game. The course was chosen as one of the "Best New Golf Courses of 2007" by Golf Digest Magazine.
