The Island Golf Course

The Island Golf Course is a public golf course located in historic Plaquemine, Louisiana, approximately 14 miles from Baton Rouge. Situated on 160 acres, the course features a Tif-Eagle grass layout with nine man-made lakes integrated throughout the design. The course presents a picturesque and secluded setting, offering players a retreat from urban surroundings while maintaining accessibility to the Baton Rouge area.

The Island has garnered recognition, having been featured on the Golf Channel and Golf Magazine. The course is known for its well-maintained conditions and effective drainage system. It serves both recreational golfers and hosts numerous tournaments, charity events, and corporate outings, with PGA professionals on staff to coordinate events. The facility offers golf, social, and corporate membership packages alongside public play options, along with dining amenities and an outdoor pavilion for gatherings. The course operates Tuesday through Sunday from 7am to 7pm.
