Hillcrest Country Club is a Donald Ross-designed course originally established in 1915 on the south edge of Swope Park in Kansas City, Missouri. Situated at the highest point in Jackson County, the course offers commanding views overlooking Swope Park and Downtown Kansas City's skyline. Ross's architectural influence is evident throughout the layout, with the designer known for creating challenging, strategically demanding golf that tests players at every turn.

The course has long been recognized for its character, beauty, and notable difficulty. Its terrain takes full advantage of the elevated topography and natural landscape features of the Kansas City area. Currently undergoing a comprehensive reimagining while preserving its original intent and architectural heritage, Hillcrest is being repositioned as a modern championship-level facility. The restoration respects Ross's design philosophy while incorporating contemporary standards in service and course conditioning. The project aims to maintain the course's classic club appeal and challenging character while bringing it into the modern era of golf. The reimagined Hillcrest Country Club is scheduled to open in Spring 2026.
