The Golf Club at Texas A&M is an 18-hole championship course located on the Texas A&M University campus in College Station. Originally opened in 1951 and designed by regional architect Ralph Plummer, the course underwent a complete renovation in 2013. The redesigned layout is a par 71, 7,008-yard course created by Jeff Blume, a Texas A&M alumnus and accomplished golf course designer who previously collaborated with Robert Von Hagge.
The $5 million renovation project, completed in collaboration with businessman Robert Steele and Sterling Golf, transformed the historic campus course into a modern championship facility. In addition to the 18-hole course, the project includes a driving range and short game practice area utilized for university research and instruction.
The course is known for its excellent conditioning and challenging design. The terrain and layout reflect both its historic significance on campus and contemporary golf course design standards. The facility serves as both a public course and an integral part of the Texas A&M golf program, maintaining the legacy established by the original Plummer design while incorporating modern playability and maintenance standards.
