Tara Hills Country Club

Tara Hills Country Club is a nine-hole public golf course located just outside Van Horne, Iowa. The course features a par of 36 and was recognized as the 2018 Iowa Golf Association's 9 Hole Course of the Year. The beautifully landscaped layout operates as a daily fee course with an open-to-the-public guest policy, while also offering membership options.

The course is set in a scenic Iowa landscape and provides a welcoming environment for golfers of all skill levels. Tara Hills hosts a full calendar of events throughout the summer months, including tournaments for men, women, couples, and seniors, along with three different league play options. The facility also participates in the Youth on Course program, providing affordable access for junior golfers ages 6-18.

Beyond golf, Tara Hills features a full bar constructed from a renovated barn with views of the opening and closing holes, along with an outdoor deck. The clubhouse includes a bar and grill facility that serves as a gathering space for members and accommodates private events such as weddings and receptions. The course operates seasonally from April through October.
