Tamarisk Country Club is a private country club in Rancho Mirage, California, established in 1952. The 18-hole course features 7,003 yards of golf for a par of 72. The course was designed by William F. Bell, William P. Bell, and John Harbottle III. The well established course offers great views of the mountains.
The course is known for its challenging layout and quality conditions. Ben Hogan, one of golf's greatest players, helped shape the Club traditions as Tamarisk's first Golf Professional. A par-5 is the signature hole at Tamarisk. The course is defined by its classic style of bunkering and dramatic elevation changes. Water hazards come into play on six holes.
Tamarisk was selected as one of the four area clubs to play host to the inaugural Palm Springs Desert Classic, which would go on to become known as the Bob Hope Desert Classic. The club hosted the Bob Hope Classic 19 times.
