Talayuela Golf is Extremadura's first public golf course, designed by renowned golfer Severiano Ballesteros and opened in 2005. The 18-hole course stretches 6,495 meters and features characteristically wide greens exceeding 12,000 square meters combined, along with abundant water hazards including natural streams crossing nine holes.

Located in the Campo Arañuelo region near Cáceres, the course is set within a dehesa landscape of oak and holm oak trees on the left bank of the Tiétar River, offering spectacular views of the Sierra de Gredos mountains. The terrain is relatively flat at 365 meters elevation, and the design harmoniously integrates with the traditional extremaduran countryside environment.

The course presents challenges for all skill levels through its water obstacles and strategic layout, while bunkers are minimal. The practice facility encompasses 5.5 hectares with a 320-meter driving range accommodating 30 players, plus putting and pitching greens.

Talayuela has hosted multiple Spanish Professional Championships across categories (2009-2015), the Spanish Women's Professional Championship (2012), and international competitions including the Alps Tour (2015) and the Iberian Cup (2015). Located 90 minutes from Madrid via the Extremadura highway, it remains a significant venue for professional golf competitions.
