Located in Annaka City, Gunma Prefecture, Takanashi Club is a 18-hole, par-72 golf course set within a flat, forested landscape. The terrain features a total elevation difference of just 30 meters, creating a flat, wooded environment that retains abundant trees throughout the layout. The course offers expansive views of the Jomo Sanzan mountains—Haruna, Akagi, and Myogi—as well as Mount Asama. The course is designed to accommodate players of varying skill levels, with yardages ranging from 2,460 yards on the red tees to 3,443 yards on the black tees for the front nine. The back nine extends the total length to 6,755 yards from the black tees. The design emphasizes strategic play, balancing the enjoyment of the game with thoughtful routing that respects the natural topography. Key challenges include the par-4 4th hole, a long dogleg left marked as a driving contest hole, and the par-5 11th hole, a 565-yard dogleg left that rewards distance. The 14th hole presents a unique putting challenge with its two-tiered green, while the 17th hole is a demanding par-3 where wind conditions significantly influence club selection. Several holes, including the 3rd, 8th, 12th, and 17th, are noted for their pin placement requirements, testing accuracy and short-game precision. Takanashi Club hosts regular monthly competitions and senior championships, maintaining a schedule of open events and club tournaments throughout the year. The course layout encourages strategic decision-making, with doglegs and elevation changes requiring careful club selection and shot placement. The flat terrain and wooded setting provide a consistent playing experience, while the mountain views offer a scenic backdrop for the round.
