The 18-hole Legacy course at Sweetbriar Golf Club in Avon Lake features 6,557 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Don Childs, the Legacy golf course opened in 2007. The facility is part of a 36-hole golf facility with two 18-hole courses built through acres of wooded landscape with natural wetlands area and ponds.

The front nine showcases a links-style layout with wide, winding fairways and expansive greens, while the back nine offers a traditional East Coast feel, meandering through wooded landscapes with natural wetlands and challenging risk-reward par fives. The slope rating is 121. Golfers can test their accuracy with strategically placed water hazards and sand traps throughout the course.

The course serves as the home course for numerous high schools in the area. The course boasts top-notch practice facilities, including a driving range and putting greens.
