Swan Point Yacht & Country Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located in Issue, Maryland, along the banks of the Potomac River in Southern Maryland. Originally established as a nine-hole course, it was expanded and redesigned in the late 1980s by renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp, who served as a consultant to Augusta National Golf Club.

The course presents a challenging layout across 18 holes, with water or marsh hazards coming into play on 12 holes. This water-heavy design creates a distinctive aesthetic reminiscent of Carolina golf courses. The setting features natural wildlife including deer, herons, osprey, and bald eagles, contributing to the scenic experience.

The course is characterized by varied terrain and diverse golfing challenges throughout the round. Players encounter a range of scenery and strategic demands that define the championship-level difficulty. The Potomac River setting and marsh-lined fairways distinguish Swan Point as a unique test of golf within the Middle Atlantic region, offering golfers both visual appeal and technical complexity.
