Suur-Helsingin Golf operates two distinct 18-hole courses in Pohjois-Espoo, located along the Vihdintie road. The Lakisto course sits approximately five kilometers from the Luukki course, separated by the main road. Lakisto is set in undulating, expressive terrain that offers open views over several holes while also providing secluded fairways hidden within the surrounding forest. The course is known for its variety, with each hole presenting a different character and challenge. A prominent feature of the Lakisto layout is the club terrace, which overlooks the back nine and provides a clear view of the final hole from the tee. The Luukki course is built into the Luukka outdoor area and is characterized by a park-like, rolling landscape that respects the natural environment. It is described as an easy-to-walk course with a mix of difficulty and surprises, located near the popular Kaita lake swimming area. Both courses are part of a facility that includes extensive practice areas, a driving range, and short game zones, all situated close to the clubhouses. The Lakisto clubhouse features a terrace that serves as a central gathering point, while the Luukki clubhouse offers immediate access to the practice green and range. Suur-Helsingin Golf was established in 1965 as the tenth golf club in Finland and currently serves over 1,900 members. The club has a strong history of producing competitive players, with notable Finnish professionals such as Mikko Korhonen, Mikael Piltz, and Pasi Purhonen starting their careers as juniors at the club. The organization is recognized for its active community involvement and has been named the Golf Community of the Year in Finland. The courses host various local and regional competitions, reflecting the club's status as one of the most successful golf associations in the country.
