Stratford Country Club

Stratford Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Stratford, Ontario, situated along the scenic Avon River. The course features a mature layout designed to challenge golfers of all ability levels while providing an accessible experience for both novices and experienced players. The club traces its origins back to 1896 when William Maynard began golfing in open fields north of the Avon River. The permanent golf course was established in 1913 through efforts led by Walter Miller, and the club celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2013. Today, Stratford Country Club offers golf memberships, green fees, lessons through its academy program, and junior programs. The facility has been modernized with indoor golf simulators and features a fully renovated clubhouse that serves as a premier wedding and events venue in the region. The club also operates a four-sheet curling facility active from November through March, making it a comprehensive community recreational facility.
