Stones Throw Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 70 public course located in Milaca, Minnesota, approximately one hour north of the Twin Cities along the scenic Rum River. Designed by Jeffrey McDowell and opened in 1956, the course is member-owned but open to public play. The 6,103-yard layout features a slope rating of 123 and offers a balance of challenge and enjoyment for golfers of varying skill levels.

The course is characterized by strategic water hazards throughout the layout. Two holes border the Rum River directly, six holes feature O'Neill Brook, and numerous ponds come into play across the remaining holes. The terrain includes both wooded sections and open fairways, creating distinct character for each hole. In 2000, the course underwent significant expansion and renovation with the addition of 11 new holes, introducing more challenging routing alongside forested areas and shifting terrain that enhanced the overall playability and aesthetic appeal of the facility.

Stones Throw hosts various events and tournaments throughout the year, including men's and women's league play. The course continues to be maintained and developed as a respected regional facility within the Minnesota golf community, offering both competitive challenge for serious golfers and scenic beauty for recreational players.
