Sterling Farms Golf Course is an 18-hole public facility set on 144 acres in Stamford, Connecticut, approximately 40 minutes from New York City. Originally designed by Geoffrey Cornish in 1969 and renovated by Robert McNeil in 2005, the course opened in spring 1972 as a par 72 layout built on the grounds of a former dairy farm.
The rolling terrain navigates through preserved farm buildings and presents a challenging design featuring particularly demanding par 3 holes that require distance, accuracy, and strong putting. Multiple tee options accommodate golfers of varying skill levels. The course is noted for its meticulous conditioning and comprehensive amenities, including a heated driving range. Sterling Farms consistently earns recognition as the top-rated public golf course in Fairfield County and is regarded as a premier regional golf destination. The facility combines its challenging layout with high-quality maintenance and service offerings.
