Located in the rolling hills of northern Chester County, Spring Hollow Golf Course opened in 1994 and was designed by architect John Thompson, who created a layout that blends the features of a one-time dairy farm with the surrounding beauty of a golf course. The par 70, 6,008-yard layout features five par 3s, three par 5s, and ten par 4s. Meadows defining some holes were left in place to give the course a natural look, with wetlands, creeks, and ponds coming into play on six holes, and a 110-foot change in elevation creating frequent and dramatic elevation changes that provide challenging shot selections and beautiful views.
The course features a 35-35 routing with holes 2 through 8 playing across a highway in their own realm, and the unique back nine includes three par 3s and two par 5s with back-to-back par 3s followed by back-to-back par 5s. Many doglegs bend at striking angles, and water in the form of wetlands, a pond, and a creek enters play on five holes on the back nine. The course features generous fairways accessible to golfers of varying skill levels, though players must navigate doglegs and avoid trees and thick vegetation lining the fairways.
