PGA National Ireland Slieve Russell is one of only eight PGA National designated resorts worldwide, featuring an 18-hole championship course and 9-hole academy course set within a 300-acre estate in County Cavan. Designed by renowned Irish architect Patrick Merrigan, the layout winds strategically around lakes and drumlins characteristic of the Cavan landscape, creating visually striking parkland scenery.

The championship course plays to par-72 and measures over 7,000 yards from the back tees, ranking among Ireland's top 10 parkland courses. The design presents a significant challenge, particularly through its devilishly tricky greens that demand precise approach play. The course has proven popular with visiting groups from Ireland, the UK, and Europe seeking both quality golf and hospitality.

Slieve Russell has hosted substantial tournaments including two European Tour events and the Irish PGA Championship. The venue stages an annual PGA pro-am since 1997, featuring a €1.2 million collective prize fund—Ireland's highest-paid PGA pro-am tournament.
