Skukuza Golf Club is a 9-hole (18-tee) championship course situated within the world-renowned Kruger National Park on the outskirts of Skukuza Rest Camp in South Africa. The course plays to a Par 72, measuring 5950 metres (6450 yards) for men and 5059 metres (5480 yards) for women.
The course is uniquely set within a rich wildlife sanctuary home to the Big Five, diverse bird species, and numerous animals, creating an exceptional close-to-nature golfing experience. The unfenced layout means wildlife regularly appears as spectators, including hippos, impalas, warthogs, and baboons. The course features no traditional sand bunkers; instead, numerous trees create "aerial bunkers" that add to the challenge.
Notable characteristics include water hazards on several holes and the signature hole #9, a Par 3 approximately 150 metres played across Lake Panic. Hole #2 (Par 3) features water left and behind the green. The course offers a blend of recreational and competitive golf, with the landscape and wildlife providing both challenge and adventure. Recently renovated in 2022 for its 50th anniversary, the course includes upgraded greens, modern facilities, and on-site hospitality at Henry's Restaurant and Bar, overlooking the lake and bush setting.
